Meet Our Family of Farm Animals
From feathers to wool.
Rosie
Queen of the Flock
Rosie is our second oldest sheep, born to Delores in 2025. She is part East Friesian, part Hair Sheep. A lovely bright white wool that is wonderful for outerwear.

Maeve
Opinionated mother.
Maeve is our oldest sheep, born in 2024, and our shyest. She is a high percentage East Friesian and gives us almost a gallon a day at her peak lactation. Her wool is a mix of brown, black, and white that makes beautiful yarn!

Sister Junebug
A fine fleece on four legs.
Sister Junebug is the newest sheep from outside the flock. She was born in 2026 at a local Monastery, hence the name. She is a high percentage East Friesian.

Princess
Kindness and persistence.
Princess was born to Maeve in 2026, but due to rejection ended up being a bottle baby. This means she is overly friendly! She is half East Friesian and half Shetland with a lovely white fleece.

Cole
Doesn’t look like a deer.
Cole was born at Half Channer Croft, our sister farm, in 2025. He is a very well mannered ram, and if you hit the right chin scritching spot he will even lay down!

Cheshire
Chief fan of chin scritches
Cheshire was intended to be a wether companion to Cole, but a hiccup in his castration meant he was still partly intact. He was born at our sister farm, Half Channer Croft, in 2025. He’s a super sweet ram, with an amazing fleece.

Teddy
The youngest ram.
Teddy is out of Maeve and born in 2026. He is half East Friesian and half Shetland. He has a lovely black fleece, and a very shy but sweet personality.

Thistle
The token wether.
Thistle was born in 2026 to Rosie. As her first lamb he was chosen to become our first offical wether. He has a lovely white fleece and the typical sweet personality of a wether.

Pierre
The accidental addition.
Pierre, the Chinese Pheasant, came to us when the neighbors moved and he got away from them. Eventually he found his way into our chicken coop and has become one of the beautiful additions to our farm.

Rue
Head Rooster.
Rue (Roo) Paul is the original and reigning rooster of our army of chickens. Hes always been the penultimate gentleman.

Diablo
Henpecked second in command.
Diablo is another found addition to our farm. He was found by our kids at their school and brought home. He appears to be a Polish Cross of some sort and is a very polite rooster.

The Ladies
They are legion.
We hatch out many of our own hens, along with adding in new genetics each year.

Duck Duck & Goose
The farm guardians.
Duck-Duck has been with us since the beginning, originally bought from our neighbors as a watchdog for the chickens. She is a Chinese White/Embden cross. This year we got her a companion, Goose, who is a Chinese Brown/Pilgrim cross.

The Farm Dogs
Poodle-bros.
Oliver, the black and white poodle, is our first poodle and is a gentle and sweet soul. His brother, Dodger, is a rescue that we got this year as a playmate. They both excel at farm-doggin’ and accompanying the humans on their tasks.
